Korea is blessed with many magnificent national parks for such a small country. The sheer number of mountains and amount of coastline in South Korea, coupled with the large population necessitating the preservation of natural spaces, has amounted to 17 national parks. Each park is unique in its own way and we enjoy discovering each park’s special features whenever we get the chance. Continue reading

Explore More: Khaosan Road Video
If there’s one lasting lesson that I have learned in my limited travels, it’s that the places most famous are often the ones least relaxing to spend time in. When a city, beach, resort, or even a road has been made legendary by history’s great travelers, it’s fairly safe to assume that it is now overrun by people attempting to recreate the stories which spurred their dreams of exotic adventure. Let’s Go To… High 1 Ski Resort!
Snow skiing has been a passion of mine since I still had the nickname “Lil’ Britches” and wore all of my brother’s hand-me-down winter clothes. At four years old (I turned five on the 2nd or 3rd day of skiing, but it still counts) I first hit the slopes in Colorado’s Winter Park Ski Resort. Continue reading
A Day in the Life – Winter Camp Music Videos
Every year we are give ample vacation days but they come with one caveat: plan for and host a camp after school has let out. Typically our most enthusiastic students tend to be the ones that sign up for camp but they never really know what they are in for until we get underway. Continue reading

Korean Noms – Hangover Soup
The cuisine of South Korea is extensive. Some truly amazing food lies in wait around every corner and we take full advantage of this fortunate problem regularly. One of our favorite soups, haejangguk, is one that we seek out on a regular basis and we’ve been lucky to have a really good place about 100 feet from our front door. Continue reading

El Nido Basics
During our time on the Philippine island of Palawan, we spent most of our time in the remote town of El Nido. We have made videos and blog posts for the many activities around El Nido’s islands and reefs, but we’ve never said much about the town itself. Although there may not seem like much to do in a town so small, we had no trouble spending our entire time in the Philippines in El Nido. Here are the basics you need for your stay in El Nido. Continue reading
Korean Noms – Pajeon
Recently, we took another short drive up to Suncheon, the city just north of us. We love taking day trips there as we are constantly discovering new things to see and do. This time, the game plan was to go to the Naganeupseong Folk Village just west of the city. Continue reading
Only in Korea – Pepero Day!
ANOTHER HOLIDAY FOR COUPLES?! It seems like Korea takes the cake when it comes to finding ways to commercialize love. There is a couple holiday every single month and in November, there are two! Lucky you! Continue reading
