Snow in Boseong

Korea has been getting a lot of snow this month. The snow is one of the few redeeming values about winter in my opinion. Unfortunately, living on a peninsula on the southern tip of Korea means that we never get any snow that sticks around.

We have talked about making a trip up north soon to go skiing and see the snow covered mountains. The game plan is to go for New Years with a group of our friends. Learning to ski last year in Korea has me itching to get back on the slopes again. It was the first time I have truly enjoyed staying outdoors for an extended period of time in the cold weather.

In the meantime, here are some photos from our weekend trip to Boseong. Even though the city is just an hour northwest of us, they have been getting a lot more snow. We headed out with John and Mara to the tea fields and only a handful of other people were there wandering the fields. The empty plantation and the snow made for a wonderfully peaceful walk through the rows of tea!

What are your plans for this winter? Do you like to get outside and enjoy the season, or stay bundled up indoors?

Hello from Missouri, I enjoyed your new post. The pictures are very pretty. Sounds like you two are enjoying your stay there. I am happy that you had the opportunity to travel while you are so young. I just wanted to reply and wish you both a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am sorry that you won’t be here for the holidays. We will miss you. Maybe in a year or two you will be able to come to Missouri again. Until later———-

We will definitely miss you guys for the holidays! Wish we could have extra vacation days for Christmas other than the one we are allowed haha. The next time we make a trip home, we will of course come to visit you at the ranch. Merry Christmas!!
